New Patients
During your first visit to our office, it is important that your child has established a dental home in a positive and friendly environment. On the initial visit you can expect us to acquire important background information, such as your child’s medical history, and give you some time to get to know the Doctor. On this page, you will find valuable information that will be useful in preparation for your first visit.

What to Expect
Our office, as well as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and American Academy of Pediatrics, recommends that your child be seen for their first dental visit at age one. When your child enters our kid-friendly office, we would be more then happy to introduce them to our amazing dental team. During your child’s first dental visit, the staff and doctors will be reviewing your child’s medical history, dental history, dietary habits, and oral hygiene habit routines they exhibit at home.

The main purpose of the first dental visit is to provide your family with the knowledge of how to care properly for your child’s teeth now, and in the future. Please, don’t hesitate to ask us any questions you may have regarding your child’s teeth or hygiene techniques. We want this first visit to be educational and fun for both your child and the rest of the family.
How to Prepare Your Child
It is encouraged that you talk to your child about their upcoming visit to the dentist before the pre-arranged appointment day. We recommend reading books that will help explain to your child what will happen at the dentist office. You can also explain what we will be doing in a language that your child will understand.
